The Siskins are still gracing me with their presence and what a delight they are to see. I have seen three males on the feeders at the same time, so I might possibly have more males than this visiting. I have also seen two females on the feeder together, and two juveniles.

About Me
- Kerry
- I live in North Wales and spend my time caring for animals, walking in the countryside, photographing nature and reading. I hope to share, in photographs and words, some of the beauty that I see. If you enjoy the photographs on this blog then you might like to take a look at my Flickr photostream. View my complete profile for links to both of my blogs.
Hi Kerry, I have just been catching up as usual. Your posts really are beautifully written and of course the photos are lovely.
ReplyDeleteSuch a shame to read of the loss of the Ducklings, Nature can be so cruel! I once got far too involved with a family of Robins nesting near my dining room window and was heartbroken when after all the parents' hard work the entire brood were killed by a neighbour's cat. I could hardly bear to go into the garden for days after.
I totally agree with you about Goldfinches preferring Sunflower hearts, they definitely do in my garden!
Lovely to see the Siskins and beautiful photos of them :)
Kerry, cracking pictures again. They are a treat to have visiting. I'm lucky if I get the odd one visit a few days a year.
ReplyDeleteAmazing photography
